I have a Masters Degree in Science from Bastyr University and I am licensed as an acupuncturist in Washington State, and nationally certified through the NCCAOM. I also am an Instrutor for the Upledger Institute teaching and helping to develop materials for the Unwinding Meridians workshops with its developer Dr. Ken Koles. All of this is combined with a vast number of continuing education hours focusing on Master Tung’s Acupuncture, CranioSacral Therapy, Total Body Modification, CEW, and NIS. All of this however is only apart of who I am, and what I do. I want you to know more of the complete person that will be joining you on the energetic leap into the integration of body, mind, and spirit.

With 20 years in clinical practice I filter much of my healing methods and learning style through the metaphorical lense that is Chinese Medicine. The beauty of being able to envision and “see” the stories told in those metaphors allows me to learn through a functional interactive method.
My personal challenges with the traditional educational system and the anxiety that has gone with it helped to define my perspective and understanding of guiding others through the art of learning..
I have found myself drawn to the ideas and tools that can be touched, either physically or energetically. The connection and communication between metaphors and the physiological actions of our bodies guides my clinical applications.

Throughout my life I have searched for the connection between form and function. Early in life as a overly committed competitive swimmer I focused on the contrast between the silence of the pool and that with my inner voice. Constantly making note of every stoke, and the feeling of my form and its functional flow through the water.
At one point I dreamed of being an artist. The flow I felt in the pool translated into the form of a line becoming an image, becoming the feeling of what I could “see” in my minds eye. The key being able to “see” that thing in its finished flow and form.
I now see this as the belief that while we may set the energetic intent of creating your reality, the action of “seeing” and “envisioning” allow us to request the universal energy to manifest that vision.

Over the years my vision has evolved from the youthful dreams of sport, starving artist, to independent healer. These dreams still spin through from time to time. I include my family in those every evolving manifestations. Sometime more reluctantly then others.
A friend a lifetime ago said to me; “Your work is your lifestyle…Where you go and what you do is what you are.”
I am a husband, a partner, a father, an artist, a backyard surfboard shaper, a paddle surfer, a dreamer, and a healer. What I believe is what I see is what I am able to actively manifest. I live what I practice, and practice what I live.
