FAQs

Can I bill my insurance?

Maybe. Many insurance companies do cover Acupuncture; however all of my treatment sessions are a combination of Acupuncture and CST/UMAC or other NON-covered services. So I maybe able to bill for the Acupuncture portion of a treatment session and then only collect the portion of NON-covered service fees.

What services are NON-covered by insurance?

Basically any service other then Acupuncture needle administered treatment. CranioSacral Therapy, Unwinding Meridians, TBM, Vibrational Nutritional Coaching are all manual therapy techniques that are non-covered therapies. All treatment sessions with Jon will combine different treatment services creating a more holistic approach to your overall care. If you were seeing a different practitioner all of these services would require a separate treatment appointment and possibly with many different practitioners and would require a referral for each service.

Can a treatment only be what the insurance will cover?

The simple direct answer is NO. I only treat one person at a time and have developed a holistic treatment approach that utilizes the combination of Acupuncture and Manual Therapy treatments which I believe give us the best and most complete treatment. This in turn reduces the overall number treatment sessions needed to reach your goal of health and wellness.
